Naughty Dog inspired Substance Tools – Stone Carver 01 By Art of Evan Liaw – Stone Carver was designed to create primary and secondary forms for stone tiles in the form of a height map. You can think of this as traditionally sculpting base shapes in ZBrush, finishing the material off later with surface detail. I’d generally advise keep this step as clean as possible, since tertiary details can always be added and managed later.
